These kids have battled life long adversaries, with the introduction of FutKal hopefully this will give them a reason to smile and enjoy and bring light to their life....a taste of a good life. |
After a successful Soccer Mania event with Mcdonalds I'm thankful for having a chance to get a 2 week break to recharge and get back on the road...the journey of a Futkalero "The saga continues". This time it will be nothing like Soccer Mania, where we were very comfortable teaching and promoting the sport inside SM malls. This time its going to be in the unknown streets of Tondo Quezon City. In Brasil the greatest players come from the toughest areas, and Tondo being one of the most reputable cities for its violent stories and crimes I truly believe that if they have more options in channeling their strength and focus into positive outlets like a sport or a game this can improve their everyday living and struggles in life. Not only will this be a new experience for the kids but it would be an eye-opener to all the Futkaleros who will be part of this journey. We will get a chance to see the metaphors of Tondo, it will be much more of a learning experience for us than to them....or maybe the same. So for those who want to get out of their comfort zone and live the daily life in Tondo while teaching Futkal I formally "invite you". You dont have to go through the whole month any of your free-time will do. You are very welcome to stay in the house of Futkaleros @ Quezon City....regardless of all the uncertainties I promise its going to be awhole lot of FUN!!!!! Soldier boys & girls....TARA NA! : )

Yes! For those who want to volunteer and experience the real Tondo come join the Futkaleros will conduct a 1 month clinic introducing & teaching the kids the game of FutKal. "Tondo" known for its violent reputation and breeding grounds of gangsters or warlords....this is probably one of the most interesting Futkal clinic i will experience for this summer. So for those who are game for it...sign up for it. Maximum of 10 volunteers only. Lets prove them wrong about Tondo, lets show them the "other side"...the side where Futkal will grow. TARA NA!
A yearly event celebrating the month of Brasil, Futkal or the Futkaleros were there to represent what they do best...playing with the ball with some Brasilian tunes. Together with Futkalero Pedro was Sherrif and Hadi, football players who share the same passion and dedication for the game. The event was held in the Glorietta park 3. We will be celebrating Fathers day in a Futkal fashion way @ the Glorietta park 3 from 9am-4pm. Tournament for kids 8-10yrs old, and friendly games for the dads. We will also have football activites such as Juggling, Dribbling and Shooting Competition for father & son. Prizes, souvenirs will be given in the event. Sponsored by Mizuno, Metro Active, Rush with the participation of Union FC and the RP Womens Antional Futsal Team and ofcourse our very own Futkaleros United.
